Nature against people. There is a sweeping plague that starts with a domino effect. A large cast of characters demonstrates multiple themes dealing with different struggles set against an increasingly apocalyptic world. Themes of violence, family, and inevitability are the most prominent, however.

Larry Underwood is a washed-up one-hit wonder songwriter who moved back to his mother's apartment in New York because he owes money to loan sharks.

My favorite character is Larry Underwood, the washed up singer.

I believe that the main danger of banning books, and really about censorship as a whole, is that with ignorance comes fear, and with fear comes bigotry and hate.

There is a wide cast of protagonists, most notably Larry and Franny. The antagonist is a rapidly mutating flu virus (King 52)

The story takes place in Texas and Massachusetts.

I couldn't get past the foreword. Oh, you Steven King...

This book is really hard to get through due to it being 25 years old and feeling dated. It also suffers from vapid sappyness and the stories don't reach me or make me feel anything.
