Never have I met two main male characters that are so flat and unimpressive. The basic golden retriever blond male lead vs the mysterious dark haired black cat male lead. Am I seriously reading the same book all these 5 star reviews are???
And this world/political system? Is illum just a shortened Illuminati? I have so many questions and none are being answered.

Am I reading the same book as everyone else? This is the choppiest book I have ever read. I have to double read what I just read to find out how we’re suddenly talking about one topic and then jumping to another and then doubling back on that other topic that should have been with the previous topic. It’s just a mess.
