Just finished the chapter THE MORATORIUM ON BRAINS, where the train gets held up at Winston, Colorado and has to have a coal-burning engine attached before they go through the mountain by Wyatt’s torch. I was literally gripping the steering wheel so hard while I drove and listened. If that chapter doesn’t convince you of the necessity of free enterprise in business I don’t know what will.

Nero Wolfe pulls out all the stops when it comes to dealing with the FBI, and even Archie Goodwin shows some not so manly doubt that they can best the men of J Edgar Hoover. But Wolfe remains sharp as ever, and considering all the strain Archie was under I think we can forgive him for a moment of weakness - this is by far my Neri Wolfe mystery!
