the romance (kinda?) is working shockingly well for me. I don’t think her husband hurt her, tho he is crazy toxic, but if she and Benny don’t get their happily ever after I’m going to screaammmm

I am in desperate need of a cute palate cleanser. The last book by this author was a 5 star read for me. And since it’s part of the same series, those two characters are loosely involved in this one. I’m giggling and kicking my feet at the few scenes they’ve been in, it’s really making me want to re-read it. High hoppessss

we moved into a section with a new POV and it goes back in time… now I know it wasn’t the writing or the plot that wasn’t working for me in the first half, it was the character. Okayyyy we’re finally getting somewhere
