I'm 21h into the audiobook and I keep wondering why I'm doing this to myself. Diem is insufferable, Luther is a doormat against her selfish and disrespectful behavior toward him. Where is the romance? Why am I still listening to this?

I'm only reading this because my favorite book podcast is super excited. I blame them for this suffering of 800+ pages.

DNF Chapter 12

I'm 19h in the audiobook, and everytime there is a scene between Kingfisher and Saeris involves sex, sex and sex. There is not one real conversation between them. Just possessive bullshit and lust. This book is disappointing me page by page. Narration is good though. Saving grace.

I'm 18h in, in this book, and I can't wait for it to finish. A desperate edit is in need. I'm pretty sure we don't need all those sex scenes (I can't believe I'm saying this!). Has a professional editor approve of that? And signed off on it? Ugh
