Honestly having a good time once I stopped reading every word and started skimming

Of these things I am certain: Death, taxes, and that I will fall asleep within 15 min of reading this.

I’m progressively more annoyed with each chapter. Lots of Nietzsche name calling.

I need to gestate on that for a bit.

8 chapters deep, and I my mind. Is blown. I’m getting tingles—foreboding and excitement while reading. That a manga from the 90s-2000s could hook me so completely; I see why it is considered a masterpiece.

Continuous bangers, but the misogyny jolts me out of the experience. The poetry is marred by punctuations of bitterness. Considering the author’s adoration for a special lady friend who repeatedly rejected his marriage proposals, I can slightly sympathize with his vilification of the fairer sex.

Man is the murderer of all murderers—killing God himself—yet Man cannot kill the lil b*tch boy inside himself :/

Serendipitous—the sections I read this evening.

I am astounded by Kaitani—such raw intelligence to devise the challenges in each level of the Liar Game as well as the strategies of the players. The logic employed goes way over my head, so that at this point, I skim over the explanations because it would take me way too long to comprehend. Considering this, Liar Game continues to entertain me despite my inability to fully appreciate its brilliance.

Oh wait! This quote from a previous chapter:

“Out of thy poisons brewedst thou balsam for thyself; thy cow, affliction, milkedst thou—now drinketh thou the sweet milk of her udder.”

Maybe he just likes cows? I’m only 64 pages in, and if I had a nickel for every time Nietzsche mentioned cows—I’d have two nickels.

Thank you, Project Gutenberg! I now have Nietzsche free at the touch of a button. I have no excuse to not read :3

So far—and I’m not very far, considering I get through maybe one subsection an evening, I like it! I’ve had to reread a not insignificant amount of sentences several times to grasp the meaning but so far it’s worth it.
