trying to read too many books at once and being way too busy for all of them

I feel like it's really finding itself and I'm LOVING it. And I'm noticing that every issue leaves me with a question.

I'm really digging it so far, but the timeline is a little strange to me. Issues end abruptly and don't continue and it feels like a lot is supposed to be filled in between the issues. Vic also becomes pretty full-fledged in just the 3rd issue. I was expecting more build-up. And, also, it's VERY similar to early career Batman. So, basically, although it's great, it can't yet be one of the greatest.

So excited to have started this. I think this may be the best Denys Cowan art I've seen. It's not particularly special for him, but it's very nice to look at. Can't wait to get settled into Hub City!

Finished the Prey half! 3.5 stars, I think. I just feel like there's something missing, but I don't know what. Hopefully Terror is a little better since Scarecrow is a favorite Batman rogue of mine.

I finished the actual series a couple days ago but now I'm slowly reading the extras/letter pages whenever I feel like it.

That doctor thing was SO smart. Batman coincidentally leaves criminals with non-fatal wounds every time (or maybe just because he's smart) but Daredevil has an actual reason. Crazy good idea.

DAMN CHUCK DIXON IS INCREDIBLE, HUH?

I'm loving this... tempted to give it more than 4 stars.

Putting a pause on my other reads to binge Batman for the upcoming BATMAN DAYYYY

Thought I wouldn't like this too much but the allegory is clear without context of the Russian Revolution (which seems to be the agreed events being referenced) and I'm finding it pretty hard to put down.

Finally picked this back up after forever lol. Seems like it's gonna be a quick read but I fear I don't have nearly enough of the political context to actually enjoy this.

I have to stop here.

I'm just not into this one at all. It's hard for me to continue when I have so many other great comics at the library, on Kindle, and especially on my shelf.

Sorry to dissapoint, everyone. I really wanted to love this one, but I'm finding it hard to keep reading, and I don't want to spend so much time avoiding other comics just to finish this and give it an unsatisfactory review because my heart wasn't in it. I'll return to this in the future, because there's such high praise for it, but it's just not clicking for me right now.

OMG, THE BOGEYMAN FROM THIS IS THE SAME KILLER FROM SWAMP THING! I love seeing how they tie into each other. I know you don't have to read Swamp Thing to read The Sandman, but it's making an already great experience so much better.

Nope, I really like Hellboy in Hell.

A little worried about this one. I'm afraid it's just going to be everything I didn't like about the main Hellboy series minus the stuff I liked.
