I have to time actually read things again (for fun, kind of), and this is just as lovely as I remember it to be so far

reading this and The Political Unconscious (among other things) at the same time is a kind of whiplash that I highly recommend

i forgot how much i relate to Eileen, and that’s not good. there’s obviously humor in her first email to Alice, but the end of it is just devastating to read

there are a lot of paragraphs and sentences that scratch an itch in my brain very nicely, and i’m not even a quarter of the way through
