My son asked me to listen to the first book before the movie comes out on Netflix,..
And it's really good. I have the Heroes of Olympus boxed set arriving tmrw from Target, as it's not something we can get in the correct order from the library. He's already finished 2 of these HOS books on Libby audio, but this way, he can read them, too. I plan on reading Lost Hero, at least.

Really enjoying this so far. I mostly started it since we have a stack of books to return to the library, and if I didn't like it, I would simply add it to the stack. But, it's really compelling so far, and unlike anything I've read before. Fiction: 1960s LA/Hollywood TV family who is real life family, and the drama that comes with that combination.

These books really don't have a plot or any character development.Normally, I wouldn't finish books like this, but I'm drawn to them when my mind needs a break. The line just now was, "tell me something nobody else knows" (which, objectively, nobody ever says). And, he says, "I hate pickles."Did I just put Christmas Tree Farm Dream Harbor #3 on hold from the library? Yes, but I am listening to the first 2 on Hoopla.

Truly enjoying this one so far, and looking forward to reading more of it tomorrow evening for a bit. Will definitely be reading more of B.K. Borison's books....since I haven't found a romance author I have liked this much since Emily Henry (sans Great Big, Beautiful Life, but all of the others). I added romance as a genre about 5 years ago, and glad I tried it.

Really enjoying the world building/story, as well as this narration. My son and I listen to it in the car to and from activities, etc. I can't wait to listen to the next audiobook. It will take us some time as we pretty much only listen in the car, but he's already a big fan, too.

I'm really enjoying this so far. The writing style is far less choppy than Freida's books, so, this feels less like a popcorn thriller, as it has more depth, though I still really enjoy popcorn thrillers at times. This is my first Lisa Unger book, but I will be reading more, but I would classify this more as a mystery than a thriller, in spite of the isolated cabin environment.

I do really enjoy this, which surprises me, because I almost never like fantasy books. It's why I have not even tried it, for so long, but the PBS Great American Read List inspired me (books Americans love, but are not exclusively American authors). This is obviously considered the gold standard for fantasy, and I'm just so happy that I found a series that I really enjoy(I almost exclusively read stand alone books).

Just started this read-aloud with my son. I read him Phantom Tollbooth, which he didn't love, though I liked it, but didn't love it (had never read it), both of us enjoyed Holes best of any read aloud at home this year. I read Holes for the first time maybe 12 years ago. So, when I asked the youth librarian for a read aloud recommendation for my son who loved Holes, she recommended this one, and it's great.

I'm listening while folding laundry and such, and speeding up the narration to 1.5. I genuinely have no idea why this book is so beloved. Also, why is Grandpa betting with troubled 10 year olds in town? I will persevere, and hope the next PBS Top 100 read is more enjoyable.
