Amir is incredibly insecure. Wanting the love and affection from his father and being pardoned from his mother's death, that wasn't even his fault. He feels intimidated by Hassan even though he shouldn't since he's his servant. Hassan is more athletic, more smarter, more talented, and has his father's attention more than himself. Amir says cruel things in order to shake Hassan up, but he knows that won't work.

This is very similar to what we are dealing with in politics to this day. Dumbing it down to what it would be like with farm animals and explaining it in a fairytale way, it gives the hard truth about our democracy and what people of power do when they are given it.

I really believed that this story would be scary, but its just an in depth detail of human skinning and the whole process of the meat production but it's human beings. I hope that this is just part one and part two will be more scary/exciting.
