I have always zipped through Dan Brown’s books in less than 2 days. This is not the case with this book. I’m struggling to finish it. It’s just not as well written as his other books. Plus a golem has been used so much it’s become a trite storytelling device. This book feels rehashed so far. I’m a quarter of the way through it, and the plot has barely progressed. I’m not sure I’m going to finish it.

Foreword by Patrick (2nd wife’s Pauline’s son) and Introduction by Seán (Patrick’s son). Of course, they’ve included “never before published” excerpts featuring their mother. While no one knows how Hemingway would have finished the book nor what final edit he would have approved, it IS indubitably a book about Hadley (the woman whose marriage to Hemingway Pauline broke up). 😳
