One of my favourite series as a teen, so exciting to re-read and have it hold up to my memories

Just finished part 1 and… this book is so baffling and weird already. Probably would put it up there with one of the weirdest books I’ve read, so far, but I think in a good way? I’m intrigued with where it’s going.

So hilariously refreshing to read a book where the main character is an Australian in America. So painfully and hilariously relatable.
“The only thing I like about this country is that your books are way cheaper than ours” (and that ONE friend)
“Chips not fries”
Being completely underwhelmed and desensitised to Tim tams while everyone else is obsessed.
Makes for total coziness, reading a character from home

I have so many questions and zero answers. But I’m hooked

Sure, let’s just kill off every character with a trace of goodness, Sue. Can’t wait to see how you break my heart next

This book jumps around in the most annoying way.

Absolutely insane that I’ve spent 10 hours of solid reading on this book and I’m only 16% through it. Long books give me commitment issues

I was skeptical about written horror but like… damn this is getting creepy.

I hate it here. I just can’t get into it. The slowest of slow burns. I keep procrastinating every time I sit down to read. Just hurry up and get good already

I’m confused - and not sure if I’ve mixed this book up with some other book I wanted to read, but I very much thought it was more secret society, Ninth House kind of vibes and now I’m kind of stuck here with hour long chapters and politics. But it’s been on my TBR forever? And??? Someone please assure me it gets more magical and interesting.

Don’t come at me. I know this guy’s cancelled. This is a second-hand copy and I’ve wanted to read this for YEARS.

Been wanting to read this for years. The movie has been a comfort movie of mine since I was 16.
First impressions: so far a direct play by play of the film, but with more backstory and insight into Sarah and her thoughts. It’s fast paced, and giving “children’s book for adults”. I’m into it.
Sarah low key reminds me so much of my teenage self, adding a whole extra layer of nostalgia to this for me.
