well structured so far!

- making machines that help reduce inconvenience has inevitably made us raise our standards in what we want to achieve out of efficiency (e.g dishwashers and laundry machines made to reduce labor for women in the house, now we’re obsessing over getting the stain completely out of the shirt)

- our daily inconveniences are what makes life more rich

- crowdedness vs having a space for solitude. (having a healthy distance between neighbors in which you could retreat easily but still bump into each other game people a sense of community)

- lower commute times lead to increased perceived satisfaction of life
- being closer to fauna leads to perceived closeness to neighbours and less crime

The idea that design is intuitive, clear and almost invisible. We use design to add flair but also provide information and feedback to users to facilitate communication between machines and humans. For example, in autonomous vehicles there needs to be a clear handoff between a car in self driving move vs non self driving mode. This is resolved with a change in lights rimming at the windshield.
