i know you’ve never been treated right by a man you didn’t pay for but like you cannot be lusting and falling for the man who your marriage of convenience husband sent to kill you, who killed your guards and whore/lover and hunted you down then let you make a terrible mistake and left you locked in a room and was generally not nice to you

now way the author starts a side characters romance plot just to kill one of them off before anything happens… surely she survives being stabbed right

i hope that just bc there’s been smut they don’t lose their angst and tension bc tbh i was a bit disappointed in the smut happening so soon

it’s ali hazelwood so i’m immediately obsessed

we love an almost 1400 year old ethical vampire who only kills evil men and a very hot tall muscular tattooed skilled man who’s possessive over her (under the guise of wanting to kill her since he’s a slayer who kills vampires)
- even better is when said slayer loses his memory and is drawn to the vampire for some reason and she has to lie to him so he doesn’t figure out he wants to kill her 😛

i just read 120+ pages in one sitting and id keep going if it wasn’t so late. i am heavily enjoying this book 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

wait i’m really enjoying this. i love how each chapter alternates between the guy and girl pov and how they are in close proximity to the other but with completey different lives and issues

took me a few chapters to fully get it but it’s never easy to start a fantasy series (especially when u don’t read the blurb)

not enjoying this too much but i hope the grand reveal/plot twist makes worth it
