i'm breaking my own 2026 rule to only read books that i own for this one i out on hold a few months ago...AND THANK GOD BECAUSE THIS IS AMAZING

wouldn't you know it, 4/5ths of the way through the book and the unthinkable has occurred: an event.

read about three pages aloud with caleb last night. turns out, when reading in my head, i skip over the cringe moments and UNNECESSARY ADVERBS AND SYNONYMS FOR 'said,' BECAUSE THEY ARE SO USELESS!!!! i cannot believe how poorly written this book is!
