GAY LESBIAN BLACKSMITHS!! Cuteeeee! Also hilarious about Chatho. I see what they’re trying to do. This read level is easy, but this is a nice way to ease back into reading, especially with all that going on at the moment.

A lot of waiting in the mundane life of Vancouver currently. Having fun with the song picking though, and realized I was supposed to stop at page 47 for lit circle lol. O well. I like the flashbacks and I imagine Porteau Cove every time we go to the lake in Alberta.

Interesting. We are starting out with a mystery about Sabrina, McKenzie’s older sister (one of two twins). I like how Joli is non-binary! It’s refreshing to read, even if I have to get used to the pronouns. I would like to read more non-binary rep!

Things are picking up! I am really enjoying it reading for myself. Also, the scene at the amusement park (quest for Ares) is very different than the one in the show. I have to say, I prefer the book version, but all the gold spiders sounded like too much SFX animation in the budget than Percy being turned into a statue. O well

Now that they’re on the actual quest, I’m feeling a lot more engaged. I think I just have to get over the Juno of this first book of which I know the plot extremely well. I love the characters, so spending time in their works is fun. Also had the epiphany that my writing style is so influenced by this book and Riordan’s witty writing.

Finished the scene where Percy unleashed toilet water onto Clarisse and entourage. Dang! I don’t feel totally enraptured like I once was reading the book, though. Maybe because I already know the story? I just wanna get through to the second book and discuss with Ruby!

It’s going well so far. I worry about re-reading books since it hasn’t always gone according to plan for me, but just gotta get through the valley of no visual improvement or whatever it was called in Atomic Habits. I remember loving PJ in 6th grade, and I do still love if. Let’s reignite that love!

First off the cover of this book is so epic! Secondly, I’m just so enraptured by these characters at this point omg. I loved how in the second book, we explore the family dynamic, and I believe I just read chapter 8 where Max told Adrian that Nightmare tried to save him! Ahhhhh! I can’t wait for the climax of the book!

Today in drama, we talked about product vs process, and it even fits in with habits. We get so focused on the end result, we neglect the process it takes to get there by showing up and changing our identities. I like being able to connect what I’m learning to everyday things.

Things have picked up action! I think I was more invested in this book since I already know the characters, though I’ve found that I will absorb more from reading physical books consecutively. While e-books are accessible, I try to limit my screen time, so I don’t get as immersed in the story. Today just bringing this book with me at school, I read it so much more! I love the Everhart family, protect Max!

I am loving this book. It’s perfect for late night wisdom without triggering pre-bedtime anxiety. Robin is truly a great poet and her stories are very captivating.
