One of the book's mysteries is very obvious. I'm really hoping the author doesn't draw it out and confirms it soon.

"What kind of lunatic checks their bag for a four-night business trip?" Well this is awkward. I literally read this passage on a plane on a business trip with my luggage checked for a three-night trip. 😜 Good thing I'm not an executive making millions working with a bunch of crazies capable of murder.

I'm loving the start to this. Ruth cleverly introduces all the characters through their tech company bios. Let's face it, we make immediate judgements about people who use the term in bios "conscious uncoupling" and have daughters named Raddisson and go on about boarding the Alps.

This book is getting cray, cray. Everybody has a motive. Even the detective has a reason to want Arwen dead. I am here for it.

Holy crap on a cracker. This is intense! There goes sleep tonight.

The two main characters are drunk men who are keeping secrets because of "reasons." I hope those reasons end up making sense.

This one's a creeper! I can't read too many pages at a time as I get freaked out. I'm not sure if I'll be able to finish it, which should be a great review for all you horror fans out there.

We're off to a strong start. Within a few pages, we see how carefully the MC Evie orchestrated her relationship with her boyfriend. Nope, not at all sinister she let the air out of her own tire to set up a meet cute. No idea what her motivation is but I'm on board to find out.

Finally, a book that starts out with a strong voice and an intriguing plot. The last few mysteries I started I ended after chapter two.
