Way more interesting than I expected, and sometimes exciting, this novel is more about emotions and the heart than Science Fiction. The author did an excellent job of weaving culture, religion and the hearts of two similar yet distinct species.

Weird psi stuff with a sense of humor.

Well… this is certainly different. Earth is overcrowded and a group of people leave for an “earthlike” planet. It appears the dominant creatures are scaled and have religion. I believe this is a little excessively wordy, but interesting. I wonder when the lizards and people are going to meet?

This book sounded better than it actually is, but I’m going to try and finish it. It sounds more like a young adult book then anything else… a very young adult.

This could have been made into an action/horror flick.

Through the first book doing it mostly on Audible and the performance by Eva Kaminsky is spectacular. Not gonna lie… this has jumped the shark a little bit for me, but then I’m not a zombie fan.

Great characters and a really interesting story plot that started out with a good deal of humor and has now gotten freaky and gory. It’s free on Kindle unlimited so I have been listening to the Audible version which is very good as well as reading. I think this was a good find.

What an oddly unsettling story… about a young woman so poor she and her brother share the only coat. She does everything she can to include steal to support her brother and herself.

I was beginning to think this poor girl just had a terrible life and whoever thought this was funny was on something… but I just hit the funny part and it really had me laughing.

Wow, there is a lot going on in that little Cajun town!

We have two missing persons and although it’s written well enough that it’s easy to read, it’s not really grabbing my attention yet.

Husband and wife police officers, and he found a dumped body and she found a desperate mother whose adult son vanished. So far so good.

I’m not having a good feeling about this book. And Earl‘s daughter goes to a Duke‘s house with a letter from her sister that told her to go there. We already know that the baby belonged to her deceased sister and that her father was sending the baby away so she ran with it. The two main characters are mostly rude to each other. What fun.

I’ve had this book for so long and now that I’ve started it it makes me wonder why it has taken me so long to get into it. I love the gray man series and this book is as good as all the other ones. And listening to it on Audible and the performance is excellent. This story seems to be assassin against assassin, although the storyline is a little more complex. Very exciting!

As we age most people put on a little weight, but being a rock goddess didn’t stop the press from commenting on Stevie’s weight.

I can almost see why she didn’t stay with anyone. She would be lonely and need someone who she would blend herself into, but it often seemed to drain her and improve them.

The first part of the book has been interesting from the standpoint of Will Chesney and what brought him to become a navy seal, and why he decided to join the program using military working dogs. It was also interesting to learn how military working dogs were trained and acquired. This is an excellent book that took me far too long to get to.

Stevie was a brilliant musician who was in love with all of the romantic ideals, but there was never a true love for her.

Fleetwood Mac was trying to stay relevant, but they were fighting for their health and their career, and Lindsey Buckingham left them in the lurch.

When you read about famous people you expect to find out a lot of juicy things you didn’t know, so far that hasn’t happened. What I did find out was there is more to Stevie Nicks than I realized.

I love the way Hurwitz speaks for X.

“He took a European view of her underage drinking; the offense was not that she was drinking but that she was drinking something that smelled like hippie bath oil.”

There is a nice dose of Joey and Candy in this episode.

As the stalker gets closer, our two MC are playing red light/green light.

The girl is being hunted, and even with that happening you want to tell the two main characters to “get a room”.

Intrigue with the most remote opportunity for romance… the formula for a great story.

“ If this isn’t flying by the seat of our pants, someone’s gonna have to explain the definition to me.”

Wow… what a thrill ride that quote came from!

This is a re-read for me, but there are so many new books that I haven’t read. I have to catch up before going to the new ones! 🧛 😊

I hope this gets better. The dialogue is a bunch of inside jokes we haven’t been given the key to.

If I guessed the killer already, I am going to be soooo disappointed. 🙁

Fast moving story is difficult to find a place to pause.

This story has an almost gothic quality and could be really excellent. There is an unfortunate excess of explanation to every segment, making something interesting seem tedious.

Westerners who join the Islamic State is the task force’s mission turning into a bigger Charlie Foxtrot than they originally planned for… and they ran into Shoshona and Aaron again. I think I saw that Brad Taylor wrote and entire series for those two.
