after the first 10%, i kinda wanted to hate this book on the principle that the language is so flowery it's pretentious. 50% in and now i cant deny that im actually eating this shit up (guilty pleasure style tho). what can i say? im a lover, not a fighter.

Redeeming 6? REDEEMING 6?? The only thing REMOTELY 'redeeming' about this book is the fact that it is irREDEEMABLE!!! Binding 13 is an outlier. This book series is TRAUMA PORN and I do not mean that dramatically, I mean it quite literally - even taming 7. To fumble the bag this hard is an inconceivable feat to me. disappointed does not accurately encapsulate how I feel. gutted/ruined/depressed is a bit closer.

i've gotten to the point in this book where I have fallen in love with the characters & simply do not want to continue reading for fear of leaving this imaginary world too early. johnny's mum & dad, gibsie, claire, hughie, sean, ollie, tadgh, joey and aoife (the dream couple that they areeee) are golden characters. but damn the plot boring as fuck.

i am quite literally frothing at the mouth in anticipation for claire/gibsie's book & joey's redemption arc. i cant even concentrate on reading this shit bc my brain is, instead, creating an AU fanfiction where life is good & they're all married n shit. either someone needs to start dying or fucking soon, bc I cant handle all this melodrama and inaction rn.
