2025 would be the year where I take 4 months to finish a single book but while also setting my goal incredibly high for myself… anyway Malazan is such an incredible series and I wish I could read FASTER. Gotta be some innate ESL struggle or something.

Okay I’m not very deep into this book but the world building is fantastic. I’m completely invested in the inner workings of this universe

I won't say I am not enjoying it, because I am, but how tf did it take the main character half the book to realize what I figured out like 3 chapters in? I'm not even calling myself smart here, I don't think it was supposed to be a big reveal but still.

The YEARNING in this book 😩

Nobody writes sci-fi like James SA Corey. As is tradition with their books, it’s making me wish I stayed in STEM, except instead of engineering like in the Expanse I wish I did biology.

We are so back

Been reading it on Kindle, but I got the audiobook this morning to be able to listen to it while working and doing errands but man… it does not hit nearly as hard as an audiobook. There’s something so magical about Rulfo’s prose that begs to be read.

I am loving this book so far. Only updating my status to remind myself to mention this in my full review. This story reminds me so much of two of my favorite games: Return of the Obra Dinn and The Outer Wilds.

Just kidding, 1/4 through the book and it picked up and I am starting to follow the threads a little better. Plus I just saw Longlegs last night and it hyped me up.
