Not as poetic as Black Friday, but there are moments of stunning beauty/sadness here.

Setting this aside for the moment. Char is wonderful, but I'm just not in the mood. David Goodis instead.

Second time reading through this. Exceedingly strange book. I don't think you're really supposed to understand it as much as feel it.

Sporadic reading. Forgot how boring this was/is. Pre-Lewis goodness at times, but bland and nonsensical for the most part.
