I really like this book. it makes me feel like im reading something worthwhile. after every short story i feel the need to pause and reflect on each story and sometimes look up literary analysis of each story it feels like things you would read in english class that are meant to make you think and i quite enjoy having to use my brain in that way

i started listening to this book and i think the book is supposed to make you uncomfortable and like thats the point but like i dont think i need to learn whatever lessons this book is teaching ? like pretending to be a gay man for attention = bad. using your husbands nudes to catfish men on grindr = bad. im gonna find another book to listen to

this book came out in 1985 and is about the future (only 1999) and in this future the united states had a female president...thats crazy 30 years later and we still havent had a female president. they were so optimistic it was just around the corner

first chapter was hard to get through because i was so confused about what was going on but im invested now

i fear this is an enemies to lovers book but the i dont want that!! she should be with the sweet brother who has always loved her

i said i wasn't enjoying this and yet i keep listening. its an easy book to listen to while i do chores or whatever. i just hope the ending doesnt piss me off
