Then he realized, he just wanted to feel the sun in his face, he wanted to read books and walk around the Brygstad streets, he wanted to listen to music and visit museums, art galleries and theaters, be marbled by the human creation.
He wanted to travel to the south and to the north [..] He wanted to laugh again, He wanted to live.

This is such a cutsie light reading for me and love this book so much so far

«In their previous lives, the women had worked, borne children and made love, all I knew these things were greatly valued, what used were we here?»
Even en isolation, women are trapped by the incantation on motherhood and nursing as if their value only relies on that, what a beautiful shattering book. I don’t ever want to finish it

So far such a sweet and cute book, feels for some reason so calm and irradiates such a hopeful vibe and i’m loving every single dialogue and the way all the surroundings are described in such a peaceful way,

«But in the end she got what she always wanted, “and what was that?”[…] Peace from man»

It’s been a journey, it’s a little bit confusing but just got a little bit romantic, i have a feeling i’m gonna love jt

The way the author uses words on feelings and love and art, i’m mesmerized by his writing and the story feels sweet and soft so far

“[…] he was an optimist, every month, every week, he chose to open his eyes, to live another day in the world. […] He did it when he was so exhausted of trying, when being awake and alive demanded such energy that he had to lie in bed”

“You see Jude, in life sometimes nice things happen to good people, you don’t need to worry-They don’t happen as often as they should- but when they do, it’s up to the good people to just say ‘thank you’ and move on.
