I've read through Animal Farm, now I'm on 1984. I can tell Animal Farm was an amazing allegory, even though I only know a little of the history behind the Soviet Union. I'm sure I missed a lot of direct comparisons that will only show themselves to me the more I start to learn about that time period. However, it's a great cautionary tale of how authoritarian regimes manifest, regardless of the mode of production.

Very interesting. I love the care free and charismatic nature of the main character. We're learning about the world and important events through his journal entries. Very interesting!
