How much such a small word can tell. How much of an impact. Telling of the prevalent mindset of Europe last century and sadly today in many cases as well. How it shines through in fiction and mind you this is not uttered by an unlikeable character but Poirot himself. Is he supposed to have such a colonialist viewpoint?
