This book is beautifully written! It was magical and poetic and brought aspects of relatively recent history in our neighboring country to life. Reading of the impact of the 1918 influenza pandemic while in the 2nd year of the Covid pandemic was something! I loved the characters and the relationships between them - loving but very real too. I highly recommend.
