coming back to this book and immediately being faced with the heroine admitting with embarrassment to the ML that her nipples hurt because one of the bad guys twisted them really hard

So odd... my feelings for this one are so odd LOL. I was simultaneously so frustrated by it but I really liked some of its ideas, and one of the final scenes did make me cry.... 3.5 in my mind but idk. Throwing a dart at a wall to decide my actual rating.

Will start a re-read for my soul, soon. :)

So many interesting things happening now... and I loved the twist... but oh em gee I see why someone said this had "Way of Kings Syndrome" now.
