Confusing. Some threads I like better than others

⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 review incoming. We’re spoon fed the idea that this kid is the best of us—heart of gold, gifted artist, undiscovered genius. But characterizing him like that separates him from the “regular” inhabitants of Lee County. Which is the exact opposite aim of the book, I believe

Got some issues with the book ngl. Probably bc Huck Finn and Catcher are my favorite books of all time and this one is starting to feel like the PC version of them

Good, but I’ve never met a boy who on multiple occasions will describe someone as having “Posh Spice” hair. Also “looks like Mariah Carey” or “belting Shania Twain in the car” (although I’ve admittedly done the last one). Small nitpicks

Luray Caverns being a honeymoon destination is not a wholly unimaginable idea.
