I have thoughts lol. I need to finish this book today frfr I’m slacking

I like reading it better than listening to the audio loll. The audio makes me not like the main character I’ve realized. I love Jack tho either way

Alright Hannah has somewhat chilled out but I like Jack way more then her lol

I like the MMC WAYYYYYY more than the FMC. She keeps over complaining about how ordinary she is and surprised that her ex dumped her and that one guy is eventually going to like her. It’s upsetting and annoying me and my homegirls 😂😂 I have more to say but will save for the review

I like reading and listening to the audiobook at the same time for this one.

Still 24% but I’ve finished the book of Judges and Ruth :)
Rereading I related to how I turn from the Lord in my actions sometimes and yet He still provides and blesses.

In reading Ruth, it was a reminder that He redeems the past. It may not look how we think it will, but remaining patient & working hard in the season we’re in, He will provide blessings and restore what was lost. 🤍

The shift from irritation/annoyed to attraction is wild and happens kinda quickly lol. Not really a spoiler but Jackson spends almost 2 years being annoyed by Delilah, then after a few interactions and conversations a switch flips to him finding her attractive and paying more attention to her that seems unnatural but idk im here for the vibes let’s gooooo

Almost done wit the book of Judges! First time I tried to read it was last fall I think and it was a rough time for me. Bieber now reading the context of all the books that came before it, I understand more and it’s been easier to digest!!! Still disturbing and shocking but better #growth

So now I’m actually obsessed with this series and I want to go to Baltimore now lol.

One thing I love about BK Borison? She gets right to the plot in the first 2-3 chapters.

I may checkout her other series too!

So happy to be reading this. I am a sucker for romcoms! I also really loved the cover of this. I barely knew what it was about so I’m in for a treat I’m sure. I like it so far!

Yay for slow days at work! Been able to work and listen today which has been really nice. This book is good! Nice storyline, definitely not a plot I’ve read before, it’s cute (amnesia MMC and not necessarily enemies to lovers but FMC has a valid reason why she’s hesitant).

I’m really enjoying this!!! It’s progressing very quickly and also a bit of mystery in this story so I’m excited to read/listen more.

I won this audiobook back in September and now I’m happy to be listening to it again! I’m getting more into audiobooks and I’m so happy lol.

I love how she got straight to the point of the plot in chapter one. Love.

Almost done! I’ve actually enjoyed reading this at certain parts. I was able to see where I fall short and can decide what to do to improve it. Overall, It was missing something for me, I think it was the lack of mentioning nuances and the emotional intelligence section. That section fell flat for me.

I like it, but it reads like an article tbh. Like if you looked up self sabotage this would be it. Though this is a good starting point for someone who wants to recognize symptoms. Also, there are no actual practical ways/next steps on how to come out of self sabotage….
And there’s no room for nuances! I feel like that’s important to have too

Got this book back in 2023, and I never finished it. Decided to pick it back up 3 years later(also listening to audiobook). I’ve heard mixed reviews but I’m already recommitted to it so here we are lol. Updates to come

I underestimate how fast I can read lol. Started this book literally last night and I’m almost done with it. It’s really good though! Sam is a king and a gentleman! I can’t wait to read more and finish it!

The topics highlighted in this (colorism, sexism, identity, SA) I like the way she weaves it in. It is very considerate and thoughtful. I appreciate it.

I wouldn’t read this again but I would watch the movie!! lol also this would be a good day/weekend read if I had it all to myself

They jumped some years thank God 😂 it’s kinda slow getting to the plot of the book….

I like the audiobook more than reading the book alone.

Not necessarily slow burn just slow in general. But alas imma keep reading . Until next update !

1. 50pgs in which is average for me, finally catching my attention. Will it keep it is the question.

2. Vocab can be a bit hard to keep the flow if I need context of what a word may mean.

3. Dont love that they use the main male characters first & last name interchangeably lol.
The first 3-4 chapters when I was reading/listening I thought it was two diff men they were referencing. I’m good now tho lol

I’m not even gone lie to you, I fell asleep listening to some parts, was distracted while listening and was too lazy to go back LOL. Sooo yeah. I really try with audio books but it’d like I can’t even do nothing and I still struggle with them sometimes lol

So far so good! Love learning about his life with family and some of his acting journey as well!

No shame— I skip when he talks about the recipes bc I know I can just read the recipes when I want to make it lol.

He makes me want to try these dishes!! Also how I want to incorporate more cooking in my family gatherings/important events 🥰

This will be my 7th book out of 26! I looove Stanley. He’s so real and I’m actually listening to the audio book (GASP)!

Overall thus far, it’s very interesting. I love how he folds recipes into the stories he shares about his life!! I could listen to him talk all day.

Also he’ll do full conversations sometimes and they’re so funny 🤣 also relatable sometimes

Great read so far very easy and I feel the same way I did during the campaign when I read this!

Then I grieve a lil bit bc of the reality we’re in LOL but overall it’s good so far. I noticed how straightforward she is and has to be.

Made it to chapter 5 stopping for the day. I need to process haha it’s so good!! Chapters 1 & 3 are probably my favorite rn. I love how in depth she goes even with just one scripture we can totally see these topics throughout scripture!

Gives me a new perspective when reading the Bible.
