Um...having some difficulty with this. The State of Israel didn't exist during the Regency period. The time travelers wouldn't have referred to it as such, nor would they have called the tallit an Israeli prayer shawl. Possibly Israelite, but not Israeli. Not too keen on the Messianic Jew trope, but that is just a personal preference.

Oh....Jewish storyline! I wasn't expecting that!

I am 3/4 of the way into this book and I'm still perplexed. Perhaps the subject matter is over my head, what with all the philosophy, Goethe, etc. I have to wonder: What was the author's intent? What would a non-Jew think about the Jewish people after reading such a narrative?

Having a difficult time engaging...other than the witty remarks by the "ghost" of Jane Austen.

Disappointed. Didn't finish.

Finished the sample. Won't purchase.

My my! I'm pleasantly surprised by this new find..

Having a difficult time with the concept of completely surrendering to Faith. I can see incorporating the general idea into my life philosophy, but to utterly and completely accept the concept of Emuna as stated in this book, would mean a radical change of life style. How many of us are up to that challenge??
