i dont like a single character so far. i also dont think this would pass the bechdel test despite being a book about a woman written by a woman so that’s fun.

i swear she was just 8 years old and now shes a teacher. im def not taking in all of this book either i already can tell but its because every time i really listen im just like wtf

this book is weird

with a limited cast of characters, aka so many prominent figures in greek mythology, its odd to see some of the same characters you saw as enemies again as allies. like i said very big level real life challenges being shown in what started as a fun cool kids series. (pt. 2)

this story feels kinda crazy because it is such a deeper topic to take on - the idea that some monsters dont want to be, and that you cannot judge individuals because of innate characteristics they cant control. its almost weirdly deep for a kids book. and is especially odd when percy jackson started as a retelling of classic hero vs monster stories. (pt. 1)
