It got weird and disjointed... I mean, it was already weird but this is like, strange-writing weird. There are parts that come off pretty corny. Still, there are some parts I kinda liked? Not sure about this one.

Needs to be said: I HATE, HATE, HATE the source material that this is derived from. I despise it.

So, not realizing what I was getting into, I actually kind of enjoy it so far. Fun premise to mess around with, but seems like it will be hard to end a story that revolves around being vague and unmemorable.

Things that should be anti-memed: Most Billboard Charting Music from the last 30 years, NYT Best sellers..

😂🤣 Marijuana killed Tom Clancy's father and raped his mother, clearly. Bro can't go 10 pages without dropping some not-so-subtle opinions, kinda takes me out of it. And this book isn't exactly easy to get into, either. Will try to finish, but I don't think anyone can convince me to read the JACK RYAN UNIVERSE, I think I'm good.

MC is whack, as a person. Our values just don't align. Tom Clancy seems like a genuine square, hard to see this guy out there killing dudes. Imagine my surprise when 8 hours into the book they're like, oh yeah, by the way, this guy was Spec Ops in Vietnam, and they called him Snake. Uh-huh. Pre-dates MGS by a lot.

So far, this is whack.
