Okay I’ll admit, as frustrated as I was with Mare all last book, it’s nice to be back with this set of characters :) very (understandably) depressing rn tho lol

I have been WAITING. WAITING FOR NEARLY FOUR HUNDRED PAGES FOR THAT CONVERSATION TO HAPPEN. AND NOW THAT IT HAS?! HER RESPONSE?!?!
Yeah no. I actually need to go take a lap. My heart is RACING.
SO mad but it was SO well done.
I understand the grief, BUT. If she doesn’t learn her lesson by the end of this series in some way just as awful I’ll be SEVERELY disappointed.

I’m so glad to know via quick Google search that I’m not the only one that finds Mare insufferable. I get it, she going thru a lot rn and I know we’ve got a couple more books to go so I’m hoping she grows- but GOLLY🤪
Seriously loving/rooting for these side/other characters tho
