Chapter: strawberries and cream—one of the best chapters of fiction I’ve read in a long time.

These people are crazy. They are just crazy.

There have been so many essays already, where I've set the book down to Google if the non-fiction stories are in fact true. And this most recent--the story of Arabella, the cross spider, which was transported to SPACE by NASA, and wove an intricate web aboard the Skylab research laboratory--is one of them. Beautiful.

Standout essay so far:
In Defense of Saccharine. (All of the essays have been great, but this one is one of my all-time favorites.)

This story is insane…and hilarious.

Enjoying very much thus far. Especially since this is a thinly veiled disguise for a evolutionary psychology book.

I genuinely laughed out loud at his “Scorpion Spring” story.

This is incredible. Not even at the sad part yet and already heartbroken.
