Kreacher’s Tale actually made me feel bad for him and gave him a redemption arc. Scrimgeour wasn’t great, but at least he didn’t betray Harry.

Lupin is being ridiculous about Tonks and their baby, so Harry was right to call him out.

Kreacher saying “Perhaps just one more, Master Harry, for luck?” is cracking me up now that he’s on Harry’s side.

And of course Umbridge has the locket.

Lauren seems like she’s got some stuff going on. I’m pretty convinced Ava’s parents aren’t her real parents, and Jamie is giving major “love interest who might also be a problem” vibes. The writing can feel a little info-dumpy and all over the place, but I’m interested enough to keep reading.

Forgot how many people die in this book. Starting with Mad-Eye Moody is rough, though it doesn't hit as hard since the Moody we knew in Goblet of Fire wasn't really him. Hermione is the MVP; Harry and Ron would've been lost without her. Ron's dating book cracks me up, Luna is a treasure 😂, and "The Ministry has fallen. Scrimgeour is dead. They are coming." Planned one chapter, kept listening.

So far just had the introductions of the main characters. We’ll see where this is going.

Love the 7 potters scene but I think it was better in the movies.

Going into this book I read a lot of reviews that mentioned it was slow going at first so I was expecting it to be a while before stuff started to go down. Well within the first 150 pages the main character Kira got engaged, found an alien artifact, got infected by alien, watched half her team including her fiancé get killed, basically tortured by a dr, and escaped an alien attack. Liking the book a lot right now.
