I am DNF this book as it has too much wildlife torture and killing for me.

I DNF'd this one because it was too grim for me. I am not the target audience for this book.

Best book I have read this year. Learned so much about civil war in Sri Lanka, culture, different factions, different perspectives during civil war, suffering of the civilians, India's role in the civil war. Poetically written, really made me think about what the characters were going through. This book really makes you think about all the countries going through a civil war and how hard it is to try to get peace.

Best book I have read this year. So far I am enjoying reading about the area the characters were located.

Interesting story over the years with a cast of characters that propels you to find out who is Fletcher's birth parents? Why did Altovise leave? What will the future be for the people you care about? Will Bo D turn his life around?

Characters are well developed, nice breaks throughout to stop until the next time you can read again. Thought it was going to be set in the past but it is present time. Liked how one of the characters shows up on the scene mysteriously.
