I wasn't sure if audiobook was the right way to listen to this, but the essays are still engaging. With all the references to images (some of which I'm familiar with, some of which I probably need to listen to her telling me to Google them) maybe behind the wheel of the car isn't the best place to be listening, but I don't feel like I'm missing out on too many pop culture references.

Mariam is reading One Night on the Island
I feel like Josie Silver's books make me want to cry at times, but in a good way.

I don’t regret reading a book where the main character’s boyfriend shares a name with your own when you terribly miss him.

Other than that, I enjoyed the book more than I expected. I felt like I knew how it was going to end early on, but I’m okay with that.

I may just return this to the library without finishing it, which is a shame, because I’ve definitely finished things that haven’t deserved it.

I don’t know what to think right now. I’m reading this for a book club, but the statistics (or gaps) are primarily from the USA, Canada, and UK, and it seems a little all over the place at times.
