Re reading this again for a buddy read with Lacey! Still enjoying this the second time around. I hope Carlyle has plans to finish the series. I tried to pre order the fourth book and it was cancelled on Amazon!

Thus far this has been really really funny. I hope it continues because this beginning has truly been sparkling.

I’m so behind on reviews, it’s a disgrace! Will try to start catching up soon.

There’s been an adjustment for me with the omniscient narrator style writing and tidbits from many different characters but it does serve the purpose of letting the reader get a sneak peek at all the intrigue that is ramping up in the novel before the characters which is different for me. Some of the prose is a little purple but I’m still liking it. This authors new to me but she has tons of book.

First buddy read in over 5 years with Midniteillusion! Here’s hoping this is a good one! Thus far, lots of pining. These two had a rough start.

Trying this book again even though I DNF it years ago. I liked the hero a lot this go around and want to give his story a fair shake as he seems to be the only mature dude of the quartet!

What a pickle these two have gotten themselves into. LOL.

I bought this book for Lent as a way to work on praising God even in my every day routines and enhancing prayer. This book has been so wonderful already. I eagerly anticipate going back to it, savoring the art, and reflecting on familiar verses with a new focus on the greatness of God.

This book is silly and the instalove is there but the characters are so fun I’m into it. Definitely some escapism here.

Okay, I admit, the main romance in this one is a bit underbaked. But I like so much the atmosphere in the story. I like reading about the families around these characters and seeing their perspectives. It’s fun. Especially bc I’ve read their books already! I know that style isn’t for everyone though.

While I know and love this book, I do believe that Jonathan’s comments to Cecily early on would leave me creeped out instead of intrigued.

I find myself bingeing on all of my Emma Wildes books so I’m starting at the beginning to see now if I enjoy this one more knowing her style going in. Thus far, the answer is yes. She is such a comfort read for me and I need that right now!!

Lachlan is acting like age 16 instead of 26. It’s part annoying but also pretty darn entertaining. I feel that Enoch is having fun making the point that the joke’s on him…her writing really is so so good.

This is not for me. Didn’t like either character or the hopping around for palace intrigue. Didn’t understand the “attraction”. They were so snooty to each other it wasn’t banter, it was unpleasantness.

I’m liking the set up but it’s been pretty slow thus far. Not all bad but I’ll admit I’m ready for more about Jo and the duke and not about Lilly and her problems. She just seems to be moping and feeling sorry for herself while Jo is out actually working and making things happen!

This is some good writing. Really enjoying this so far.

I’ve been reading this between the hours of 11PM and 4AM while I’m trying to stay awake to feed my two week old. It’s been great entertainment! A riveting story thus far. So glad to have discovered Stacy Reid!

It has been so long since I’ve added a new author to my list of “must read”, but Stacy Reid is cementing her place there. I’m so excited :)

This hero is a bit of an idiot. Thank heavens he has sisters who are on top of things!

If I hadn't met Regina Daudet in Our Wicked Mistake, I would not know what to do with her secondary story now...it started a bit over the top on the sex scene which is kind of icky for me. However, I liked her in that story so I'm hanging in there. Lilian and Damien's story has started off sweet and I like hearing about my fave couple, Johnathan and Cecily, again!

I’m actually liking both storylines in this one and they overlap well so it’s not jarring to go between the couples. One is a childhood friends story where they’re starting to realize there may be something more and the other is the widow and the rogue discovering they want more than a fleeting affair—both tropes are a big draw for me!

Ha! Didn’t know this was a holiday book but it looks like there’s some stuff that takes place over Christmas! Ah well, I’m invested in their romance now and will still enjoy it even though it’s March :)

This book is starting out sweet. The heroine is strong and independent without being unlikable and the hero is different from the norm, very self-contained and having a hard time connecting with others due to his drive to
Right the wrongs of his father. Both of these burdened leads definitely need a holiday!!

Well…that was perfectly lovely. I’m off to buy the rest of the series now :)

This book. Finally, a book that actually describes my child (and myself!) and gives useful advice and food for thought. I don’t usually inhale nonfiction, but this book has been excellent thus far.

I despise this title so much. All I can think of is that SNL skit and it somehow cheapens everything. However, I absolutely adore some of these authors, particularly Christy Carlyle, so I’m trying it anyway.

Obviously, it’s Suzanne Enoch so I like how it’s written but these characters are hard to understand. Isabel has a soft side but comes across in dialogue as a haughty shrew and Sullivan has great friends and courage but a massive chip on his shoulder. It will be interesting to see if Enoch uses these flaws for some character growth! Bram is hilarious in this story BTW.
