uh oh, here comes the sad part. I might have to put this down for a little. I'm not ready.

This book has me feeling the feels.

Oh my. This book is stressful.

still nothing. No tension whatsoever.

So far this is really slow and mundane. I'm tempted to skip to the end.

It started out good, but now its meandering. So its going into the DNF pile.

I love that its set in a library, and the protagonist has a doctorate and a job.

Text to speech doesn't work well with this book. . . . . and I'm too cheap to get the audiobook right now.

I am really enjoying this book. It's a great mix of worldbuilding, characterization, and action.

And the narrator's voice is hella sexy.

The greatest horror writers are the ones that can use beautiful language to calmly describe the most horrific of things.

Beauty is pain!

This book should be categorized as horror.

Also, its really good. The author is such a great story teller and world builder.

I'm going to set this aside and read it in spurts between happy, cheery romance novels.

This is really good, but it's emotionally taxing. I stay away from books that have men abusing women and books with slavery that detail the abuses of white people beating/killing black people.

I really want to find out what happens to Jane, and I want to experience Summerland burning to the ground, but self-care is a thing.

I am listening to the library's audiobook. But this is so good, I'm going to buy the actual hard copy.

Dude boy. Fuck boy fantasy novel. I guess I qualify as a peak nerd cause I know most of the references. I recently went through and 80's fantasy rewatch with my son.

With that said the geek references are so white and male centric that I hope the blatant omission of any POC or woman is on purpose. I am eagerly waiting for a black woman to come and expose this guy for his silliness. ::fingers crossed::

All of my fiction books are boring me, so I decided to give this book a chance.

Surprisingly, its been very inspiring. I don't feel bad for neglecting my social life in order to write. Its quite common for people who have to work and write.

Why is there no freaking plot in sight. (eye roll). I get it. You are a great world builder. Can we get a plot, please!!!!!

I really want to like this book. :-(

This maybe for Middle Graders but I'm loving this so far. I have such a weakness for fey stories.
