It took me a while to adjust to the narration style, but I’m really enjoying the story now. I’m excited to finally hear from Nettie again, and I hope Shug sticks around for as long as possible.

It’s not as good as the first time I read it, but still cute

I don’t think I’m really *enjoying* my time reading this book, and yet, I can’t stop picking it up. I love Ren, I love the writing style, and I just have to know what happens even though my stomach aches a little more each chapter.

So glad to find someone that hates being human as much as I do

Someone please save me from the absolute chokehold this book has on me

To all the Ali Hazelwood lovers- I get it now. I really truly understand. Because I picked up this book expecting a silly 2 star read and now I can’t even put it down long enough to make myself lunch. What the absolute hell. 150+ pages in one sitting is unprecedented for me, and yet here I am!

It is a crime that I must put this book down and head to work. I’m already looking forward to coming home just to pick it back up. I feel like crying? Screaming, maybe? I haven’t even reached the end and I’m already shouting from the rooftops. This book has reminded me why I love reading so much.

I’m having a good time despite not fully being able to wrap my head around such beautiful writing. This feels like the type of book I’d understand more on a second read. But for now- I’m here for the vibes.
