Thinking of my favorite books from the last few years, I finally just noticed the trend in myself of loving literary fiction novels that I, for some reason, rarely actually find myself reading.

So! I’m gonna be catching up on the trending LF novels now that I realized I loved the genre, so if you’ve got recs, please lmk 🥲

This book has my whole heart, and if it ends sadly.. I think I will simply break into a million pieces

Man, I really should pay more attention to book tags. I didn’t even know the main character in this was queer! Best surprise ever in a book I was already excited about 💃🏻

Sadly lying here sick and bed rotting for the holidays, missing all the time with my family.. but Libby just sent me two loans that are ready after being requested 54 WEEKS ago, so I guess life isn’t that bad

Reading a series with each book hundreds of pages long always makes me such a slow reader lol. Trying to keep everything/everyone straight, including my ADHD being the largest obstacle.. geez Louise 🤦‍♀️

One thing that literally never fails? Libby saying “several months wait” on all holds. So, I start a new series that I already have!

Was I supposed to read this first? I thought I was told read it second but either way it feels like it would’ve been wrong 🤔

Alright, jumping on the bandwagon this one finally! hopefully I can still get myself to love it without being turned off by all of this religious talk

I submitted a help ticket for this because the download stopped working a month ago already and I think it’s safe to say I lost the ARC 😭

Idk why audible rec’d this to me, but the narrator doesn’t suck and someone compared it to stranger things in the reviews on fable? So I’ll give it a go 🤷

AGH, accountability post- I am finishing this TOMORROW. It’s so good, but I’m too sleepy of a human & am struggling finishing this with enough consciousness to actually comprehend it. I keep rereading the same dang chapter with my eyes half closed 🥹

So excited for this one already!! Shawn Brooks’ “Endless Is The Night” was one of my favorites in 2024– perfect debut novel of Japanese folklore based horror that went right up my creepy alley. Brb while I devour this next one~

Def did not realize this was nearly a 500 page book, oh well. This week’s commute audiobook~
it is mindlessly amusing so far!

Seeing lots of reviews that the first 60% of this book was the good part, but if that’s the case?? I wish my mind would let me DNF a book for once in my life, honestly. There are so many plot holes and rambles, no enjoyable aspects of the mc.. this one’s a struggle, guys.

The ability these characters have to tackle the craziest things head on, while only being able to use the tools they have left on the island is so impressive to me.
Also, the setting for this book is simply perfect. That’s all I have to say thus far ~

“G*damn trees,” I’m already wishing this series was longer and I’m not even finished with book 2! I don’t know what it is that’s drawn me in fully- the characters (that we actually get to know more in this novel), the dark magical atmosphere, the writing style of the author..
I guess that’s why, to name a few! :)
