moment of truth: i don’t remember if i ever actually finished this book. i think it was too much for 12 year old me to watch my husband (peeta mellark) in the state he was in. let’s see if 21 year old me can handle it (i’m already tweaking)

katniss making a list of all the people she didn’t get to say goodbye to is actually make me want to die all over again. suddenly i’m 12 and sobbing in my childhood bedroom over katniss everdeen once again.

alternatively i’m also twirling my hair and kicking my feet every time peeta talks again. amazing to see that peeta’s lover boy status holds up

peeta watched katniss get drunk with haymitch one (1) time and cleared the alcohol from haymitch’s house, AND threatened to turn in anyone that would supply them with alcohol

honestly i’m liking reggie more than frederick. he’s so down bad & he’s NAWT shy about it. PLUS, he’s one of the few immortals that aren’t chomping at the bit to make their partner immortal and give up their life as a human. the idea is romantic in theory, but it’s more romantic to not want your partner to give up their life for you & jenna levine GETS IT.

gawddddd no one does it like this anymore. full on head over heels guy eating out of the palm of her hand.
