It’s going to be a DNF for me, unfortunately. I’ve enjoyed other books by the author. I wanted to like this one.
The FMC annoyed me. I have no idea what the MMC sees in her. She’s an indecisive, selfish brat. Almost to narcissistic levels. Sorry.
Also the nick names - Charlie Bucket? The author makes a point with it, but those are for teens… not late twenties.
