also giving us a climatologist character—who’s wanted nothing but to protect earth’s environment/solve climate crises—and giving him no choice but to use nukes to detonate antarctica to release methane to substance the dying atmosphere THEN having him cry?? genuinely evil, andy

the dialogue in this book is so fun

the diction of this book so far is odd and difficult to take seriously in the first chapter when he's throwing around "holy moly" and "fudge" AND MUST follow up with a small paragraph thinking about how weird it is he won't naturally curse...

but in some cases, it is a little amusing

the YOU chapters never unnerved me until this book
