This is beautifuuuuuull aah. This is why one can jive somewhat with Heidegger's views on biographing philosophers, because you read the work and you fall in love with them. And coming at them through the lens of a person reduces them to their trivial faults and dull virtues. It's in the work that their mind lies.

It's so juicy to read philosophy one can come to grips with algebraically. You're reading the most fascinating subject in the most satisfactory way when it comes to clarity and understanding.

Cormac’s Moby Dick sure, but the fact that Moby Dick is soooo much less macho makes it so much more attractive. Maybe I have daddy issues, but I’m utterly exhausted at men and their menoronic shit. Most people are cowards and don’t actually grow up but the male manifestation of that patheticness is the one that you wind up seeing the most; but of course, men made this the case.
