This is a refreshing read. It’s relevant, it tells a story, and it is endlessly thought provoking. Its really really sad that there just aren’t that many books like it these days. It’s also nostalgic… I actually experienced the years and events that are being spoken about. I’m from NZ and was a teenager when this story starts.

Actually readable… a rare pleasure in a contemporary book.

Brutal. Dense. Brutally dense. Too informative to the point where I have to read just about every paragraph once back at least once. I’m not gonna keep reading it.
