The plot is getting too convoluted, and the deus ex machina is a diversion from the other, more ridiculous, deus ex machina. The middle has been very good but at the end it’s gotten silly.

I’m starting to enjoy it. Now that it’s actually a story and not just posturing it’s ok.

Too many references to bodily functions.

Tbh I want to DNF this but three separate people have bought it for me as a gift so I’ll persevere. I don’t know why, I don’t really read funny books, contemporary books, or fantasy - I guess they just want me to like a thing they love. It also doesn’t appear to have any footnotes, which I thought were the quintessential Pratchett technique?
