this book is kinda boring .. but maybe i just dont get it

the fantastic four issue is a fucking fever dream lmao what the hell was that

big reason why i liked sylvia plath's "the bell jar" was cuz of how ridiculous the main character was in her inner monologue. this book is kind of the opposite.. the narration is serious as hell but every character is a cartoon character and I dont really fw that

i used to think the only superhero i liked was miles morales because spider-verse is one of my favorite movies ever but im learning that maybe i just like spider-man. apparently this one isnt even the best spider-man comic out there!! im so excited

im struggling so bad with the prose in this book, like every damn sentence is so dramatic!!! every single one of them. i cant take it seriously lol i might have to read something else along with this cuz its too much, man

im starting to realize i really enjoy books that make me burst out laughing during sex scenes because of ridiculous fucking lines. theres even one that made me take "they hate each other" off my shelf just to quote the iconic jonah collins - "Yeah, throwing up in the vents. Really romantic and sexy. Great dialogue." im having an amazing time

sooo after my 4th(wtf.) re-read of 'they hate each other' i am finally ready to move on. this book has so far made me laugh and then almost tear up within 3 seconds about 5 times. i cant DO THIS. also the cover is so nice like not only the design but the texture on the paperback like im so in love. if this book doesnt turn out to be good i think I'll jump!

started reading this a few days before starting "you weren't meant to be human" by andrew joseph white and I cant tell which one is scarier! Jesus Christ this is unreadable why are there SIXTEEN paragraphs on my ONE kindle page!! Its a paperwhite!! its tiny!!! SIXTEEN????? Who writes like this. as a trans guy who's deathly afraid of pregnancy (and hey! the timeline of the far future also scares me! crane is soooo meeee) this book is an absolute nightmare to read. so it's perfect. nothing better than a book that makes u physically gag once every other chapter. and it's only going to get worse!!! not to be #thatguy but seeing the minotaur's name is Asterion fucked with my brain so hard. Because I pronounce Astarion(bg3)'s name with an "a" (the way ur SUPPOSED TO) but sm people say it with an "e" and anytime they do I correct it in my head. So now when I read Asterion I also correct it to "a" in my head even though its LITERALLY "e" I cannot do this. I'm sorry Asterion(pjo)

literally starving for the slightest bit of gregor and when he shows up he's obviously STILL NOT THERE and we get absolutely NOTHING from one of my favourite characters like. EVER. come on dude!!!!! Uh i was really excited to read this book but i am really... confused so far.... I mean why are most of my favorite characters just gone. Like yeah i understand gregor, sure (though surely u could bring him into this SOMEHOW like the narration isnt limited to anyone, and gregor is one of the best characters...), but orso?? Even fucking giovanni died OFF-PAGE??? TO A RUSTY FUCKING NAIL?? that sounds like a joke

ive been putting off reading this book for sooo long cuz i didnt wanna be done with the series yet but lets fuckingg goooooo im so excited i love these characters
