Nvm, I'm stupid, but the maths is a bit off

I'm like 15 pages in and the math isn't mathing. Oh my days, first chapter they say their birthdays are on the same day, by the third it's actually a week apart. Also the maths makes sense if you ignore the timing of the second chapter. Chapter 2 'six years ago' Alexander is 16 but in the present he is turning 21, so unless i'm misunderstanding something I'm slightly annoyed.

Clearly I'm in my thirsty era rn
