Loving the worldbuilding and paranormal elements, but the main character’s lack of common sense is testing my patience. She runs into a necromancer’s obvious trap with no plan, refusing backup over fear of spies—even though her sister’s been dead for over a year. The urgency feels forced, and the lack of logic is frustrating. Hoping the ending redeems it but this far in, I doubt it.

Currently reading Throne of Glass and feeling a bit let down. I started with The Assassin’s Blade (amazing!), but Celaena feels like a different, less sharp character here. The book doesn’t honor Sam’s memory enough, and the love interests feel shallow in comparison. The mystery was predictable, and Celaena’s logic didn’t make sense. Hoping the series improves because The Assassin’s Blade set the bar so high!

I just can't get into it. I am trying really hard to give this book a chance but so far I find it very boring and the characters uninteresting. Some of my favorite parts in romance books are when the love interests meet for the first time and you can feel the chemistry, but I don't feel it with these two characters. I can't understand what Nathan sees in Anastasia, other than maybe he finds her physically attractive

I loved the first 3 books, but I'm struggling on getting into this one. Going to take a break from it and going to come back later.

I'm having a really hard time getting into this book. It had a lot of really good reviews so I was hopeful, but for now it's going to be a DNF. I might go back later and try again.

For some reason I am having trouble getting into this book. Maybe it's cause I am sick, i don't know. When i liked a book, i usually can't put it down and finished it all in one day. I have started reading this, stopped, started again, stopped, etc. I read three other books in between. I just think so far the storyline has been a little slow for me. I plan on finishing it though, i always finish reading every book.

I am in love with this story. It's so detailed. This world sounds so beautiful but scary and dangerous at the same time. I am excited to see how it will end.
